The Edmond Historical Society & Museum is pleased to offer a variety of Educational Programs for young students and their teachers.

Our Educational Programs have received

the Homeschool.com Seal of Approval!

Take the time to find the Educational Programming that will best fit the needs of your young scholars by choosing from the selections on the left hand side of this page. We are happy to answer your questions about any of our unique programs that feature our newly restored 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse and the history of the 1889 era.

Edmond's 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse is the earliest one-room schoolhouse in the Oklahoma Territory. This formative schoolhouse helped to shape and create the beginnings of higher education in the region and other educational facilities.

The 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse is located on the corner of Second and Boulevard in Edmond, Oklahoma. The Schoolhouse is open to the public the first two Saturdays of each month from 1:00-4:00pm and by appointment.
