Schoolhouse Field Trips

1889 Territorial Schoolhouse Field Trips

The schoolhouse is also a popular field trip destination for children in 3rd and 4th grade as well as home school groups.  Our resident Schoolmarm leads student's in a day in the life of an 1889 student.  With preparation before they arrive children are immersed in life of yester year.  They will dress, eat and learn in the style of 1889. From the moment they enter the historic doors they become a part of history.

Our certified teacher has transformed herself and our curriculum to give the scholars a truly unique experience of a lifetime.  Following the Oklahoma PASS skills requirements designated by the Oklahoma Board of Education, the field trip is more than just a fun day out.  The children are learning essential skills which are required by their school system with an experiential twist.  Book your field trip today by calling the museum at 340-0078. Ask us why this Schoolhouse visit may not count as an official fieldtrip!!

Have you already booked a date at our Historic Schoolhouse? Our Teacher Packet will help you dress and prepare your young scholars for their historic day.
