1889 Adults Only Schoolhouse Day

Experience history in a whole new way at the 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse! This time, it’s the adults’ turn to be the students! 1889 Adult Only 1889 Schoolhouse Day, invites participants to step back more than a century and enjoy a full day of authentic lessons, etiquette, and old-fashioned fun in a real one-room schoolhouse led by a by a costumed schoolmarm.
Participants will take part in traditional reading, writing, and arithmetic exercises, learn about schoolhouse etiquette, and even test their skills in a spelling bee or mental math challenge. It’s hands-on history, and a whole lot more fun than you remember from your school days!
