1889 Schoolhouse Camps
June 10 @ 9:00 am - July 18 @ 12:00 pm

Step back in time and experience life as a pioneer at the 1889 Schoolhouse Camp! Young scholars will spend the morning in a real one-room schoolhouse, just like children did in 1889. Each day, campers will learn about pioneer life, play old-fashioned games, make crafts, and enjoy a snack fit for a settler. Come dressed in your best pioneer attire and don’t forget your water bottle—learning the old-fashioned way is thirsty work!
Session Dates:
Session 1: June 10-13
Session 2: June 17-20
Session 3: July 15-18
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

On the last day of each session, families are invited to a special camper performance and picnic! Campers will showcase what they’ve learned, and the museum will provide a delicious dessert. Families can bring a picnic lunch, shop for goodies at the gift shop, and even kick up their heels in a good old-fashioned square dance!
