During this 1.5 hr class, artist Jay Tracy will teach you the techniques he used to carve the blue hippo replica out of foam with a hot knife. You will complete a small carving, and learn how the museum uses foam carving to care for its artifacts.
Suitable for adults and children 8 or up, who must be accompanied by an adult who must also register for the class. Limited to 5 people per session.
Cost is FREE, although a $5 enrollment deposit is required, which will be refunded to attendees. This program made available by a grant from Allied Arts.
