Generations connect at EHSM
The Edmond Historical Society Museum's volunteer training program covers the rich history of Edmond and general museum operations. The program educates and trains interested candidates for responsible volunteer positions with the Museum. A variety of volunteer opportunities are offered in the following areas:
-
Museum and/or Library
- Research
- Educational Programming
- Tour Guide
- Saturday Positions
- Genealogical Computer Assistance
- Outreach Programming
- Special Events
- Site Monitor
- Office Support
The volunteer program includes an orientation session
to better understand the selected position and general
museum procedures.
Being an Edmond Historical Society Museum volunteer affords
you the great chance to enjoy a challenge, meet new friends
with similar interests, learn or update skills, and most
of all to have a fun time helping a worthy non-profit
organization educate the public about the wonderful history
of Edmond.
As an Edmond Historical Society Museum volunteer you will
receive the Society Report newsletter, have access
to the museum's growing library as well as receive invitations
to workshops, special events and receptions.
WE provide the interesting training and location - YOU
provide the volunteer time to help the Museum preserve
history and educate visitors. If you have any questions
about the program, please contact the Edmond Historical
Society Museum by calling (405) 340-0078.
