Generations Connect at the Museum

The Edmond History museum’s volunteer training program covers the rich history of Edmond and general museum operations. The program educates and trains interested candidates for responsible volunteer positions with the museum. A variety of volunteer opportunities are offered in the following areas:

  • Front Desk Shifts
  • Research
  • Educational Programming
  • Tour Guide
  • Saturday Positions
  • Outreach Programming
  • Special Events
  • Site Monitor
  • Office Support

The volunteer program includes an orientation session to better understand the selected position and general museum procedures.

Why Volunteer

Being an Edmond History museum volunteer affords you the great chance to enjoy a challenge, meet new friends with similar interests, learn or update skills, and most of all, have a fun time helping a worthy non-profit organization educate the public about the wonderful history of Edmond.

As an Edmond History museum volunteer, you will receive the Volunteer Newsletter, have access to the museum’s growing library, as well as receive invitations to workshops, special events and receptions.

Men, women, senior adults and students welcome. Once a week, every two weeks or once a month 3.5 hour commitment.
